PolarLake Announces Advanced GRID Support for PolarLake RDD

Today PolarLake announces the addition of advanced GRID computing capabilities to the PolarLake RDD platform. PolarLake RDD is a purpose built distribution platform for Reference Data. The addition of GRID capabilities allows the largest customers to massively scale the distribution platform to supply specific Reference Data to their downstream applications. Putting PolarLake’s data distribution and streaming capabilities onto GRID technology allows the delivery of large volumes of reference data at high speed, cost effectively, while ensuring the highest levels of availability.
The new GRID features in PolarLake RDD are:

Distributed Delivery Agents – allowing separation of processing and transformation from the delivery process while maintaining PolarLake patented data streaming capabilities
- Initial Seeds – allows for the initial setup of a downstream systems and recovery in a fatal outage of a downstream system
- Store and Forward – allows the delivery agent to store up messages until a downstream system comes back online. With minimum disruption the system is able to automatically re-synchronise and get back to the correct state
- Resource Optimisation – allows for unused computing resources on the GRID to take on the work of distribution
- Delivery Agents Dashboard – allows operations personnel to view and monitor in real time the operation of PolarLake RDD across the GRID and to remediate any distribution problems that may arise.
