PolarLake Releases Complete ESB-based Integration Suite: V4.0 Adds BPEL and BAM Support

Delivering the capabilities of traditional EAI products within a light-footprint, standards-based infrastructure supporting incremental integration
PolarLake™, a leader in standards-based incremental integration, today announced the release of PolarLake Integration Suite V4.0. With this release, PolarLake delivers major new functionality including added support for Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) and Business Process Orchestration based on the BPEL4WS V1.1 standard.
PolarLake Integration Suite V4.0 sees the addition of the PolarLake Process Integrator to an existing suite of products that includes PolarLake JIntegrator, PolarLake Database Integrator, PolarLake Messaging Integrator and PolarLake Adapters.
The PolarLake Process Integrator, built on the same industry-proven high-performance XML Dynamic Runtime™ server as the rest of the product suite, enables PolarLake users to orchestrate complex business processes within the standards-based integration platform provided by the existing product suite. Reinforcing this commitment to standards-based integration, the PolarLake Process Integrator supports the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL4WS) specification for the composition of automated business processes. Using the Process Integrator, system developers can import and export BPEL definitions, and allow non-SOAP messages (even non-XML) to be included within the orchestration as Process Circuits.
The PolarLake Integration Suite V4.0 also includes greatly enhanced Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) capabilities. PolarLake BAM allows users to define a wide range of metrics ranging from basic activity metrics, such as the number of transactions being processed, to sophisticated business metrics such as the total worth of those transactions. This information can then be stored in any relational database and queried via the PolarLake activity monitor or third party BAM tools.
Ronan Bradley, CEO, PolarLake said "The release of V4.0 of the PolarLake Integration Suite means that today, our customers can access all the capabilities associated with traditional EAI products within an ESB-based architecture. Using the PolarLake Integration Suite, the most complex integration problems can now be solved incrementally. This incremental approach delivers rapid Return on Investment by focusing on solving high value business problems with a standards-based approach capable of evolving and expanding to address the longer term objectives of the organization."
Other features added to the product suite include:
- Extensive support for XQuery, which can be used to define content-based routing and to transform documents being processed within the XML Circuits
- Support for many-to-many document maps with the PolarLake Mapper
- Enhanced support for many-to-many mapping between database tables and XML documents
- Enhanced support for non-XML support
- Enhanced WSDL editor support, allowing WSDL interfaces to be defined for XML Data Circuits
