Published March 12, 2002 / Press Releases
PolarLake's alliance with SpiritSoft, the leader in open framework Java messaging, provides enterprises with a complete platform for creating and deploying messaging-based XML & Web Services solutions.
Ronan Bradley, Vice President of Business Development at PolarLake, said:
"One of our key objectives in developing the PolarLake business is to ally ourselves with the market leaders in technologies that complement our own offerings.
We are delighted to be working with such an experienced company as SpiritSoft. The strategic alliance between our companies will bring many benefits to our customers.
We believe the combination of SpiritSoft’s reliable, flexible and scalable solutions and PolarLake’s enterprise strength technology provides the most complete solution available to enterprises today."
Kevin Gibbs, CEO, SpiritSoft, said:
"Enterprises are increasingly keen to extend services to their partners and customers, but the integration required to deliver such solutions is extremely complex - both in linking services into legacy systems within the enterprise, and in extending them to a third party system.
The combination of SpiritSoft and PolarLake provides an ideal platform for deploying such solutions. SpiritSoft and PolarLake strongly believe that JMS is an integral part of a complete Web Services and XML offering, and this was the critical factor in our decision to partner.”
The PolarLake development and deployment platform combines with SpiritSoft’s messaging technology to offer a scalable, standards-based, business process integration solution.
The combined solution allows Web Services and XML offerings to be integrated quickly with legacy systems, and greatly simplifies the integration of highly complex workflow and business processes.
This is applicable to a wide range of business problems including B2B e-commerce, straight-through processing in the financial services industry, and more general application integration issues faced by enterprise architects.
SpiritSoft’s messaging products and high-level tools are all XML-aware and its world-class tools and technologies offer users the ability to plug into existing diverse legacy messaging systems.
PolarLake leverages these facilities through its support for SpiritSoft’s JMS infrastructure and allows flexible assembly and deployment of XML and Web Services-based applications and architectures from both new and legacy components.
