Nissay Dowa cuts ongoing application management costs by 50% with PolarLake Integration Suite deployment

PolarLake™, a leader in standards-based incremental integration, announced today that Nissay Dowa, one of Japan’s leading insurance providers, is using the PolarLake™ Integration Suite to deliver integration solutions and substantial cost savings relating to the ongoing development and management of their systems.
The initial project involved the delivery of a portal solution, providing self-service access to insurance policy details to Nissay Dowa customers and, in the process, reducing operational costs through removing the requirement for telephone support. The PolarLake Integration Suite was used to integrate the portal solution with new customer-centric CRM systems and existing application infrastructure, including relational databases storing insurance details.
By using PolarLake, Nissay Dowa was able to implement a standards-based and flexible solution that could be adapted quickly and easily to meet changing customer requirements. This flexibility delivers a 50% saving on ongoing development and management as the solution is evolved and adapted to meet changing customer requirements. In addition, Nissay Dowa expects to realise savings of up to 30% on changes to back-end applications and the integration architecture itself.
